West Lake yesterday, 6" of good ice, had my ATV to pull my sled around. No eyes, even stayed a few hours after dark. Pike are active however...

Drove to Fargo stopped at a few smaller ponds near Medina and definitely fishable...5-8inches. Reule seemed a little sketchy cloudy ice but 5 inches along the sides..looked to be open water near the middle though.

Was on Pipestem today, mostly 5" but also found some only 1 1/2". Just depends on where the geese had been sitting.

In Barnes everybody is moving around except the spear guys. 6" of clear ice, 18' of clear water, 2 guys, 5 hours,... 3 perch. Just nice to be out though after last winter. Edit: The culverts opened up this evening and the muskrats were topside. Warm and windy is going to eat some ice.

Took the 1994 Dave Genz Clam Fish Trap out for old times sake. Ice was pushing 6.5 inches. Central ND. Ridiculous fishing, but a lot of 10 inchers. Kept a couple for supper tomorrow.

Wait a minute....your handle isn't "Eatsleepfish". Shouldn't these be pictures of beavers and mountain lions in snares?

And the perfect season for it. Too beat to hell to trap. I'll kneel down to make a set, and that is where they would find me, because the cell phone would be in the truck and I couldn't stand back up.
