We tried to go fishing today down on Oahe. Good luck the ramps are iced in. Not much open water anywhere.

I just came back to Bismarck from a meeting at the casino. There were at least two boats on the river, one was just south of Eckroths, the other was a few miles north of there. Temp on the pickup read 50 degrees.

They must be coming out of the Rifle Range or more upstream. No one was at Hazelton and it looked very much Iced in. Beaver Bay is iced over. Same with the Rivery. We didn’t go to Cattail. Langelier's is iced up as far as I know. Supposedly Polluck all ice. We were at a high point south of Beaver and there was only a few patches of open water.

It was all skinned over this morning at Yates, but then started opening up later in the day.

Saw a guy on the ice west of Valley City this afternoon. Should have stopped and talked but didn't have time, and a friend saw a guy out ice fishing.

Lol.
As if a warden is out on a big lake all day checking fishermen and don't piss on the ice.
It's a dick warden to even think about giving someone a ticket for that.
Same as a cop stopping someone for not wearing a seat belt.

What make Lycan?,so many options today, nixed the Kdrill, strikemaster? Ion?
strikemaster 40v, only issue I have with it is fairly minor, sometimes at the bottom of holes the blade catches before going all the way through and the motor will quit spinning, must be some safety feature built in or whatever. Only happens with the chipper blade.

Mine does the same on pretty much every hole

Whoever is the first one on here to use the new Eskimo E40, please let us know what you think. I finally made the switch from gas last year and went with the pistol bit paired with the Milwaukee M18. If I would've waited one more year, I would be going with the E40. I held one at Scheels and they are super light.

I'm planning on checking some spots on Sunday. Hopefully 38 degrees and breezy won't bother the ice too much

Walked out on two smaller lakes in Wells county. One was 5 inches of good clear ice, the other was a hair over 3 of frozen, wind broken, refrozen milk. Fishing reports to come.

Had a friend show me a picture of his buddy fishing Audubon this past weekend.

Said where he was fishing there was 3-4 inches of ice. And he caught his 5 eyes.

One thing for you dolts ... ...duel... ... to keep in mind is even when temps get to 40 degrees its only that warm for a couple hours in the afternoon.

I would guess it's making ice up until noon on any given day where it gets down to 20 at night.
