This soon to be 55 yr old used to run back in the day, actually ran cross country a few times in high school, tried to keep running after high school, then it just disappeared all together. Never done any marathons or anything in my life and would pretty much be out of the question now.
Right now I'm just building mileage. Doing 3-4 mile treadmill runs (yuck) a few times a week if it's too cold, then running 5-ish on the weekend. Keeping it steady until the end of Feb. Then the 12-week program kicks in and I'll be adding speed runs, tempo runs and increasing my long runs by a mile every week.
My wife and I are going to try some mountain biking bs this summer. Signed up for the MAAH DAAH Hey 25 and one other gravel ride in Medora. We’ll see how this goes - as I’m one of those “running sucks” crowd members.
