26 degrees in Bismarck right now. The wind was rather chilly last evening.

The cold weather is nicer but need some snow to really get anything moving from up north. With highs in the 50's nothing is going to freeze and they have no reason to move

10 day shows 50s and 60s for Minot, no lows much below 30. Not going to be more than a trickle for a while. Hopefully doesn't go straight to zero and a foot of snow.

Yep appears to be a slow daily build for the next few weeks. Kurt you may get hopped over this year if they trickle in and start staging here

Define "north".

I just spent 10 of the past 13 days up moose hunting in Ward, Mountrail, Mclean, and Williams counties. Every pothole with water held a ton of ducks, geese, and sandhill cranes. Only ran across a few waterfowlers, but there were plenty of upland hunters out and about. Lots of northern birds are now moving into central ND.

Lloydminster alberta and saskatoon places i know some guys hunting. Seems when they get weather it means we are getting birds in a few days.

"Define tons" 200 or 300 or 5000.

Lots of fields had 1,000 birds or more. I grew up waterfowling that part of the state, and the numbers of birds I saw meant "game-on" to me when I hunted waterfowl.

I didn't see a lot of snows, but there was a really good mix of swans, cranes, and ducks with some of the other geese mixed in. We certainly don't have the same numbers in the Bismarck area right now, but waterfowlers in the counties I listed should be clam happy right now.
