Question to those on Missouri West Rural water system.
Has anyone else noticed the staining and rust colored deposits on your water fixtures toilets ect the last year or so?
Water quality used to be great up until the last year and now noticing the rust colored stains getting worse here the last few months. I noticed that when I fill the pets water dish the rust color will actually stain the dish plastic or metal within a day. Just wondering whats going on at Missouri West water to cause this.

Lincoln, kinda...
Iron hardness. I'd call the Missouri West and complain. I'd be shocked if they don't have a softening plan in place, they wouldn't appear to be following it very well.

Iron Hardness???? Man I was worried for a bit, I was thinking it was oil residue since it comes from the river.:;:stirthepot

I could just switch back over to well water and have the same results, I am lucky to have a good hard water well yet which turns everything the same color as the rural water does now. It even turns my garden into concrete every year too.
