I'm planning on going back to a tiller model boat. Was just wondering if there is a drier tiller boat then others. I'm open to brands lund, yarcraft, warrior, ranger maybe. I know I will be getting wet reguardless. I Would prefer a glass model, I have always ran tillers, but when We started a family I switched to wheel boats. I just prefer the boat contol I get with a tiller. Thanks

I would have to assume the big Warrior 2090 is probably the driest and also has the highest HP rating 250. If i was looking for the biggest baddest tiller that's probably where i would start. Unfortunately the 1890 is now only rated for 90hp, used to be 140. You could look for a used one of those, but might be hard to find.

Depends on what you want to spend. Most glass manufacturers are no longer producing tillers shorter than 18-19'. So if you were thinking smaller than that you will have to fight for a used glass one or look into aluminum. If a large glass tiller is what you are looking for, lots of great options. The Skeeter WX2000T has an interesting rear transom design that is supposed to roll up a wave more while back trolling rather than breaking through it which sounds drier to me! Either way, have fun shopping.

I sold a Tuffy 2100T to a guy this summer. He was in another fiberglass brand prior to this. He called me earlier this week and told me he was just on LOW in 30MPH winds and couldn't believe how dry it was. He said the only time he was wet was starting and stopping. When on plane the spray came out behind him. He was very happy. I used that boat last summer and was also impressed with the dryness. Yarcraft, Warrior, and Lund make nice tillers too.

If you can go with a 17' boat then you can't beat a backtroller. nicest 17' tiller I've ever seen

I'm looking for a 20', less than 2 years old. Anyone run the new layout on the yarcrafts? Looks to be very user friendly!

56k and it doesnt even have a windshield. I just dont see the advantage of a tiller. Yeah, they have a ton of room and have better control, but on big water there is no way I wouldnt have my steering wheel and full windshield. to each their own I guess.
I actually agree, but I still enjoy looking at them and would like to drive a 250hp tiller in some big waves for fun.:)

why don't they all go to the joystick right now - and then you just
decide on windshield or not before you go that day (removable)

joysticks are the future anyway

If it was me, I would be scrutinizing the 2090 Warrior and the 620T. The Warrior has the nod in the HP department with a 250, but the layout of the 620T looks a little more user friendly. IMO
