Years ago i only had a coleman white gas lantern for my heat source and liked it,no inexpensive option for heat. Now these heaters, sunflowers put out to much heat in a two man.
Those were very nice, burned the eyes a bit but put out some nice heat. I had 2 propane lights in my big fish house, they almost put out enough to heat it. Had to be very gentle with the mantels after they we're burnt off.

I’ve been eyeballing them for years

What are you using yours for and how did you set yours up? (how did you port the hot air into the shelter, etc.)
Still have great interest in them also. Wonder how long they would run off an ATV type battery when out ice fishing? I suppose would need to put the heat tube through another type tube so didn't burn the hub/flip over material when slid thru or under?

when we first started with portables Colemen lanterns were pretty much the only option first gas then propane. I used to keep a few candles in ice house because the mantels were going to break.

You can tweak a sunflower heater so it does not put out as much heat. Pop the yellow or red button off that is on the center of the control knob. In that hole you can insert an Allen wrench and turn the output down. It still has to put out enough to keep the thermocouple from shutting it
