Anybody know the length?
I'm the lucky angler who caught the new state record walleye! Official weight was 16lbs 9oz or 16.59 lbs. It was caught legally in the mouth and verified by witnesses. It was netted by a Sheriff's officer. I caught several fish today prior to catching the record. But, there are several being foul hooked too. It was caught on a white Northland jig and Moxi plastic bait.
Shouldn't we all be talking about slot limits and the need to keep our lakes and rivers from being decimated by slob fishermen such as this dude? :::
Wow, very nice fish! How long will this record last?
Yes, I am planning on doing that exact thing this afternoon! Have a good day.....Could there still could be a bigger one cought in the mo or Dak this spring??
Crazy that they were both caught in Bis/Man city limits....other than that i dont think its too surprising the record has been broken twice considering the current state of the fishery. This one may not stand for long either, but at the same time, 16.9 is going to be tough to top.Years and years of a bullshit record now back to back record fish one year apart and only four and a half miles apart that's a hell of a thing right there! Congratulations Tom it's a hell of a fish.

And that's a bit of a scary thought since two in two years is bad enough but three in short order will all but guarantee an absolute flood of out-of-town and most likely out-of-state fisherman into the area.Crazy that they were both caught in Bis/Man city limits....other than that i dont think its too surprising the record has been broken twice considering the current state of the fishery.
