Seemed to be around 8 to 10 inches in the driveway at lunch when I cleared it. Still snowing here, and the wind is picking up.

Hope it moves east about 90 miles and south about 20. I hear they are in need of bitter cold, and a ton of snow that way

well in mobridge it is snowing to beat hell and the wind is a solid 25 i would guess. It is worse the farther north you go i have been told. I am guessing there are some hippys right now wondering what the fuck they got into

We have about 7 inches up here. Just got in from putting out straw and shes comin down pretty good.

Every year we have a couple robins or blackbirds or such that don't get while the gettin is good. They hang around the silage pile for a bit of warmth until it's too late.

I wonder how many of those hippies are going to be like those robins.

Well it looks like they actually got this storm right, they may have even underestimated it. I can't remember the last time we had a 3 day storm like this. Sounds like we have about 12" so far in Bismarck, calling for up to 18" now.

It sounds like light snow till later today for Bismarck. Then heavier snow. 4 or more inches.

Sawyer,
Gravel was getting some heavy drifts in places south of Minot this morning when I went to work. I think we had close to a foot at the house as of then, and it's been coming down pretty good all day. Tomorrow morning may be a no go if we get another 6-8 with this wind.

I was reading the NWS forecast discussion, and they're saying a light system will come through this next weekend followed by the first negative readings of the year. Fish house here I come!

Drifting the high plains
I seen a couple of protesters at Runnings in Bismarck today. They had purchased six tubes of sand for their small two wheel smooth tired pickup. The scrawny couple could hardly carry a bag and they had a tough time sliding it under their bunks in their topper. Their dreadlocks were a little frozen too.
I purchased one of those three foot pork chews for my son's dog. If the hippies had still been there when I came out I was going to ask them if they wanted some native American jerky.

Its like making jerky with formaldehyde as the seasoning, with a strong whisky oak smoke.

Rowdie, how's it looking down there?

Waters open, should be fishing lol. With the wind its hard to tell how much snow. In town roads are slick since it rained first. Across the street neighbors have a drift as high as the car. Got the last two days off Wife wisely took yesterday n today off, somehow she got lucky when planning a month ago. So I have no info on what's going on at the casino. Should've went hunting but too lazy.

Yeah I'm not looking forward to busting the roads back open and pretty sure most of the small prairie trails into the back country are probably toast. definitely cut down on the natives Ridge running the draws looking for deer.

Back country... That's funny. If you can drive there it is not back country

Well if your four miles away from a real road and the next prairie trail is a couple miles over that's more back country then some of the wilderness areas I lived around in the high country.

I'm up to a little over 15 in the sheltered areas here by Lincoln.

Good times, sure glad I got my tractor back!
