Hello, longtime lurker here! Pretty much from day one. Finally decided to post something! Asking for advice i guess. I am looking at a 2013 model and was just wondering if anybody on here has any experience with this one? I have a family of 5. is there enough room for fishing and play? Would like to be able to take the kids tubing at times also. Any input would be great! .......... oh and Vollmer I think we worked together in minot a few years back! Pm me if ya get chance.

I think you have plenty of room with that boat We had a family of five and we fished out of a 16 ft mr. Pike side console. I don't know much about the boat though. Welcome to the show.

They appear to be a great laid out boat and I know they are very good in the rough stuff. I don't see very many of them on the water in western ND. I imagine that has to do with Tracker's horrible reputation. Just a guess.

Somebody should post some close up pics if they are running one. Better yet shoot some live footage, let's see how she handles. Heard nothing but good so far.

I have a good friend who is a professional angler from Minot that runs the Nitro. He is sponsored by Nitro and Mercury and ND tourism I believe among others. He could give you the skinny on this boat. Alot of people think that because he is sponsored by Nitro, his opinions will be skewed, however i find him to be a pretty honest, straight shooter. He's on facebook if you wanna get hold of him that way.

here's one of his test runs with THE boat in question:

I get sea sick just watching the video!

Nice boats. I fished out of one for a week last year at LOW. I have another buddy who has one and loved it. He just sold it and I am buying his next one. We are ordering it in January, custom colors and of course it WILL have the 350 VRod outback!

Looked at one a couple weeks ago, pretty sure there is more room on the front deck than all of my 17' walk thru. Plenty of room for a family- enough that young kids or anyone wanting to take a break can do so and not be in the way.

They look like a nice rig and I'm sure take big waves good! Not the fastest boats out there even with a 350 thou, there were a couple of them in the casino tourney. What would worry me is resale in 5 years. I think you'd take it in the shorts compared to some of the other large glass walleye rigs.

Here's a really good indepth review.

I am pretty sure that the ones in the walleye cup weren't 350's. I wouldn't want to race one in 3' waves. The one I was in last year had a 300 pro verado and would do an honest 56 mph on gps with 4 of us in it and a full live well with a tournament load. Two of my friends run 2015s with 350's and one has a 21p prop and claims 61 with four guys and a guide load, the other claims 65ish with two guys and a tourney load with a 22p prop. If I'm not mistaken that is about the speed you posted on your video of the casino tourney.

I have read on walleye central that they are getting 62-64 with a 350. I have fished the VHC, DWC, and the casino cup, and i have never seen a nitro run with the front pack. and i know there are less of them then most boats but still. Im not going to start whos boats better but just do me a favor, before you buy a tracker boat search there past history on google.

There were 350s on a couple of them, wishin is right. After a couple miles all you see are Yars. Lots of guys talk 65 at the ramp but out on the water there's not so many. Like I said they look like nice boats and I'm sure they take waves well. But I sure wouldn't want to be the guy taking the hit that bought a new one when he wants to sell it. Hell I wouldn't want to take that hit with any of them! Guess that's why I buy used from guys that need to get out of them bad! ;)

Ya, the more I think of it the more I do not want anything made by tracker. I have read a lot of bad reps on them. What do you think of the brand starcraft? Also looking at a starcraft 2011 stx viper 206. I like the layout of it. just haven't found a ton of reviews on them.

Then you better count Ranger out of the list too --- as they are both owned by the same company. As with any company the bigger they get the more consolidation you will see (engineering, warranty, parts, supplies) + you will probably see a black engine requirement on the rangers coming soon. I think you will find many of the fiberglass targa models that tracker made a while back all in good shape today.

ok, let me re-phrase that. its not that I do not like them its just that I am having a tough time dropping that kind of money on a boat. the starcraft I mentioned feels better on the pocketbook and I actually like the layout a little better for my needs.
