Well looks like wentz should be safe from Cleveland with the browns trading the No 2 pick with the Eagles. So odds are it's going to be a Geoff wentz in the first two picks with a couple other teams between Philly and the browns to act like a safety net if needed.

This is just nuts to me. Nothing against Wentz but I don't believe these two guys are anything special. Two desperate teams have given up so much to draft these two guys. Hopefully one is atleast starting still in four years.

I agree 100%. The loss of draft picks alone are going to put both teams in a hole for the next couple years.

If either Goff or Wentz pan out the number of picks those teams traded will be well worth it. It seems like LA and Philly both believe they have found franchise QBs, I would think they know more about football player evaluation than the rest of us.

It will be great to watch Wentz in the NFL, it might even shorten my Sunday hunts chasing pheasants. Hope he does well

Maybe..just maybe Philly and LA are not anticipating or seeing any cream of the crop college QB's next year so are going all out this year to get either Wentz and Goff as by all indications they are both quality College players and are willing to pay for the crap shoot and hope they produce.

It's amazing to me with all the recruiting and testing that the teams do of every player that so many QBs become a huge bust when they're drafted to the NFL. Not sure if the competition level is that much higher or if they need a certain offensive game plan to be successful.

As a Skins fan I pray that Wentz doesn't go to the Eagles...I'd like to actually be able to root for him. Gonna be an interesting draft.

I hope Wentz goes to a good team and has a good NFL career, but usually teams that give up a bunch of draft picks end up being bad for a while.

The one thing he has going for him. He works hard at learning a new game plan. Most the new QBS that come into the game think they are king shit and don't have to change anything.

With an average total play time of 11 minutes per NFL game and the rest of the time standing around while commercials are on and running the clock down I have to say the level of play is definitely not where it is at the college level. Hard not to look good when one is totally rested up between almost every play.;:;rant

This is pretty much the deal. Next years QB class is very bad. Every year QB's are drafted way higher then expected because of need and it's the most important position in FB. Just worked out perfect for Wentz and Goff this year. I think they are both going to be really good QB's in the NFL and are going to teams that seem to have their crap together. Time will tell as always.

This is one of the intangibles that NFL teams absolutely love about Wentz. He's very intelligent, works his tail off to get better, does everything he can to make his teammates better and you never have to worry about his off field behavior.

I absolutely can't stand anything Bison :);:stirthepot) but I do hope for the best for Wentz. I think you're spot on with this, from what I've watched during the draft craze on ESPN he seems like a hardworking, smart, and all around good person. He has a completely different demeanor than a lot of punks that have come out of the south. I guess I attribute that to being from the midwest and being looked at as an underdog (not coming out of a big school). He's a big guy and seems to be very coachable so maybe he'll have a chance at being a heck of a quarterback? I'm an armchair coach and don't know a lot of the in's and outs so this is just what I've captured from discussions on ESPN.
