What a difference a couple of 80 degree days make. OAHE is now open at Yates as far as I can see north or south.

Was in Mobridge today. All those big ice sheets are gone. A little floating ice by state line thats all I seen.

While at the bay, a guy brought in a 45- 48 inch pike spawned out. I was surprised it didnt have eggs. That tells me theres not much for smelt around but who knows.

I would have to agree with you. I'm starting to really get the fever to long pole some fish this spring. I mean...the winter hasn't really been that bad and they are saying the first half of March looks good so far. They are talking about increased chance of moisture the 2nd half of the month. Hope its falls in the form of rain. Was ice fishing with buddy west of Pick City and the ice was about 2.5-3 feet thick. Drilled down half way to leave the auger and the hold had good water seeping into it.

Any word on hazelton ramp? Still lots of ice Dow there?

I drove down there yesteday. There was still a considerable ridge of ice on the ramp at water's edge, but someone had chipped away enough to dunk a boat. I couldn't see either of the two boats that had put in from the ramp area, but with the amount of ice floating by I would have been uncomfortable with racing great distances to fish.

I wish this lockdown with 4 kids at home was a month either side of right now...either better ice to take them on or open water...this sucks.

DL still have 36 inches of ice...at least the areas on East bay where I was. Lake accesses are good. 10 day weather forecast probably will start affecting shorelines.
