WTF did they do to their once excellent pizzas?
Have been eating them for many years and thought they were always great.
Have not had one for a year or 2 but picked one up today. Just now opened it up and holy shit!!
Basically a dough pie with maybe 1\4 lb of meat.
Anyone else notice this??

Here in San Jose I have quit with pizza shops. I just go to Papa Murphy's and buy a large, thin crust pepperoni with extra (double) pepperoni for $10 - $12 bucks depending on a coupon. Take it home and cook and eat at home. Thin crust takes 10 minutes at 425°. Drinks are much cheaper too.

At Metigoshe I have to buy a partially cooked pizza in town and take it to Metigoshe to finish. Evidently they have a restaurant license only and cannot sell groceries ... i.e. uncooked pizza. Works out tho.

Should learn how to make pizza dough and sauce and just do the whole thing at home!

Sometimes drag one to Metigoshe from Minot if we are heading back in time for supper.

Made one on the traeger tonight. Dang they are good eats!

You saying the smoke makes so much better? Don't have a pellet grill, would have to load the Weber with too much charcoal and throw some chips on to get 425° heat with smoke. Could try it tho.

They suck now. I still have about 10 of the originals left in my freezer that I seldom eat. Going to be a sad day when the last one is gone.

I think the smoke adds something but those pellet grills do something to the crust too. So good

Sometimes I take a regular crust half and half (wife is not a thin crust or a pepperoni fan) and take the pizza out on the 'pan' they supply at 9 minutes or so and put the pizza back in the oven directly on the wire grates to really crust up the bottom. Thin crust pizza gets too well done when I have tried it like that.

Getting hungry and Papa's is closed!

Sawyer,
I am of the few that actually likes the new sauce better. Papa Murphy pizzas bloat me.

Me too, but it's probably more the beer or cabernet. Actually it's probably the crust for you and you might do better with a thin crust. Out here I think I have to buy a large to get a thin crust.

The other thing is I think you have to cook the crust enough that it isn't still soft and maybe will still expand after you eat it. Try cooking the pizza a little longer.

Pizza corner sold out to Bernatellos out of MN. Kind of like our game and fish... And Just like our hunting and fishing, you let the Minnesotans in and they end up ruining a perfect thing!

The chicken alfredo is probably my favorite pizza, I don't eat much of the other ones. Can't beat papa murphy's though.
