Devils Lake ate my brothers stainless prop this weekend. Took out a small chip and bent one blade. Can this be fixed? He lives close to Fargo. Cost?

Try out Ricks Welding in Fargo.
He does a lot of props, but I don't recall if he does stainless.
I had him fix my aluminum one for 60 bucks. -- But it took a few weeks. I had it done over the winter.
The prop looks good and performs well. The only complain is his paintjob does not seem to be quite as durable as the original.

The only one I had to have fixed, I went to Kovash Marine in Moorhead. Nice work. He sends them elsewhere for the actual fix though.

I think Otto's Welding in Moorhead does props too.

Devils Lake is going to eat a lot of props this summer. Stainless will cost quite a bit more than aluminum to fix and you may very well notice a slight decrease in speed after it's fixed. Had one fixed last year that I took a few small dings out of each blade, got it back, looked brand new, runs about 6-7mph slower. I've heard that's not the norm, but it's what happened with mine. If I knew that was going to be the result, I would have taken the $250 and stuck it into a new prop. I've got it for a spare now anyway.

Holy..6-7 loss seems crazy. Who's the best in or around bismark? I also effed my prop on saturday. Doesn't seem to affect performance though. It's a stainless 4 blade

these are the guys to send it to. tell them exactly what you have for a boat and motor setup and they will re-do the prop and you will have much better performance on top of it. http://www.dahpropellers.com/

Brother put a dial guage to the shaft and its bent. Looks like he may have to go through insurance and get a whole new lower unit.

Prop Works in Bismarck costs $170 to redo a stainless, payment upfront of service.

A new stainless prop is $325, if a three-blade. I had a High-Five on my former Triton and it was over $500 for a new one. OUCH.

I use Brainerd prop repair. They customize to your boat and motor specs. The prop I got from them last year made a big difference in top end. Too bad I dinged it this year.::eek::
Just give them the boat and motor info. ordered another one this morning. They said I should have it to my door a week from now. Pretty fast service in the heat of boating season

I use Mark Croxton of Marks High Performance Propellers. Hes good and has a 1 to 2 day turn around. Theres a reason I send mine to him, they come back faster than they left.
