Nice thing bout this rain, I can see where I need to rip my field that I just had disced, to break up the clay layer thats down about 16 inches. ive got a few puddles that just arent draining properly. As much as you like ducks, at this point I'd like to see Mother Nature pull back a bit. Three days ago, there was almost no standing water in the fields on my way to work in Bismarck. Day before yesterday, there were spots with standing water in some of the fields I drive by. Today there was quite a bit of standing water in the fields I drive by. We need some sun now to take advantage of what's been received.
And, the dam in my backyard only had a trickle coming out of it until day before yesterday. Now she's got a goodly amount going through the culvert.
If it would rain a couple days every week from here on out i would be ok with that. Need some more water in some ponds i train on so a good fast rain would be nice. Getting rain through the summer to keep the blue green algae away would be niceAs much as you like ducks, at this point I'd like to see Mother Nature pull back a bit. Plowing and discing are OK. If there is an easement, heavy on if, ripping is frowned upon.Nice thing bout this rain, I can see where I need to rip my field that I just had disced, to break up the clay layer thats down about 16 inches. ive got a few puddles that just arent draining properly.
Million dollars doesn't even get a guy laid anymore, its Billion dollar rains, and maybe even multiThe old timers called these dry spell rains "million dollar rain".
why is this?Plowing and discing are OK. If there is an easement, heavy on if, ripping is frowned upon.
These are nice.I have no idea what we got up North but it's been a nice slow soaker and with the heat wave earlier there was a nice flush of weeds in the garden. Lycan, this right up your ally, I'm on a mission to make a couple bullet proof rain gauges of some sort, I used to like the long tube store bought ones with a funnel but they attract honey bees and they get in there and can't get out and die. Not fond of the small plastic or glass ones either . All I need is a straight column and the rest is pretty easy .
Thanks, I should just go that route, KX tv had a special on them years ago and my parents and almost every neighbor bought one but I suppose the sun got to them or something so ours ended up in the trash. These are nice.
