Range finding bow site

This is new for 2018. Pretty crazy but I have my doubts hunting in cold weather with it being operated by batteries. I'm pretty sure that if the batteries die...you have no pins!!

Pretty cool sight but I'd have the same reservations. I've read a couple good reviews on it but nothing that's been tested in our climate. Wouldn't be legal in North Dakota anyway.

Regarding cold-weather function, 2 lithium AAA's don't worry me nearly as much as a "coin" battery like a CR2032 would.

from the 2017 proclamation - "Telescopic sights, range finding devices, battery- powered or electronically lighted sights or other electronic devices attached to the bow, or the arrow, are not permitted (exception: lighted nocks and recording devices which do not aid in range finding, sighting or shooting the bow are permitted)."

Not legal in SD either. Not sure on MN offhand, but I doubt it.
Probably only those heathen high-fence Texans could use it, but what's the point? It's only 20yds to the feeder.
