Just curious as to if anyone has ever installed a utility light on the back of their ranger to overlook and light up the box? i always find myself grabbing a flashlight to look back there at night etc. I want to keep it lower than the roof itself, possibly right on the back of the roof. Just curious as to what is out there. Thinking about just wiring it straight into a normal rocker switch on the panel.

I have a high intensity magnetic light, that will attach directly to the metal on the roll cage bar and I can angle it any direction I need. If I am at a slow rate of speed it will stay put and shine where I need it. Works okay for me, but when you get yours set up post a picture, as I would like to do this myself.

We have a 4 inch square led mounted on the back panel of the cab to shine in the box. Drilled holes in the roll bar and ran the wire inside the roll bar down to under the hood then knocked out a spot and mounted the rocker switch in the dash. Would definitely recommend a light in the back

I mounted ,using the factory holes, a 12 spot/flood light bar. I have it adjusted to light up the box plus the flip over and it works as a backup light

I have 2 work/flood LEDs, one mounted on each corner or the rear roll bar to light up the box and ice house behind. I went with an after market rocker switch wiring harness. Polaris wanted too much for a factory switch.

Something else to consider:

I wired in 12 volt power to the hitch of the ranger so I can tap into power for my flip house. I no longer need a battery in the house. I use a separate battery so I don't risk draining my starting battery.

Lightbar is a 12" Autofeel from Amazon. Comes with a harness and a cheap switch. I ordered a rocker style switch similar to the factory switches
