Yikes. While neither are "unobtainium" there's not a lot of available new or used inventory for either. It's not difficult to find good deals on more widely available used scopes like Leupold, Nightforce, most Vortex, some USO and S&B. Any idiot who's a little patient can surf gunbroker and online classifieds waiting for the right deal. Make offers, buy optics scopes with rings included and resell the rings, buy spray painted scopes, offer solid trades, etc. Just takes patience and a bit of bartering know-how. It just pains me when I see someone pay retail for a new scope. The resale value of scopes is poor and it's a buyer's market. I almost always buy used.
