Bismarck's rifle range boat landing is open and the boat dock is in. I was just down there an hour ago. Boat is going in Friday.

Hazelton should be open by the weekend not much left there

What did the river look like at Hazelton? I was thinking of heading down Saturday, but don't want to make the drive if there is lots of ice.

I heard very slow to nothing coming out of Fox Island last weekend.

Same thing I heard but its second hand info before it got to me so whether the truth is in there who knows! Know Hazleton had a fair bit ice still last Saturday but haven't been by there since.

There is an island of ice and the wind was beating pretty good today with the nice weather coming on Friday it should break loose. There only problem will be is that there is and ice chunk right on the ramp. If I had a blade for my pickup I would push it in. Then Hazelton well be a go

Wade, at Dakota Tackle, said the desert's dock is in as well. He told me Pierre maintains Hazelton's ramp and didn't know when they'd get things ready to go. Soooo, if anyone with a blade wants to pop in there and push some ice away that'd be great.

This reminds me of a good story actually. My dad, myself and my dad's friend Gene (name sake for my signature icon) decided to head to the missouri out of stanton's upa station. I wasn't impressed when I put my gear next to a pick and shovel in the back of the pickup. Why, cause I know I'd be swinging it. Get to the ramp, have to chisel through a foot of ice just to get the boat in. 10 minutes into our fishing, and we see the county payloader roll down the road and clean out the rest of the ice. I was the only one not laughing.

I know from experience that when the ice goes off the river the water gets dirty for a week or two. so fishing isn't very good but people tell me its clean past 1 ft if that's the case people are catching fish I have a hard time believing otherwise.
