This is a sad day all the way around :( I recall watching his videos of him and his niece doe hunting. He was quite a nice guy willing to help with what he knew. Had helped me a couple times with info on food plots and some fishing spots up by fordville. Rest in Peace

RIP and prayers to his family! I went to his profile and this was on his biography:

"Live life fully while you're here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Go out and screw up!"

Couldn't agree more!!!

I'm really sorry to hear this.

I'll keep him, his family, his friends and his pups in my thoughts and prayers.

I was talking with him about one of his pups to replace my Lab I had to put down.

His wife, parents, etc, may appreciate some of the kind things said here about him. Maybe Mr Vollmer could gather some thoughts - perhaps start a thread upon which people could post. I have no idea of his family situation, other than that he was married. I didn't ever meet him, but had a couple of brief conversations with him, and he seemed to be of high caliber. If I were his father/brother/uncle, I'd probably like to read a few nice things about him.

He was a hell of a great guy. I have posted this thread to facebook. I hope it bring a tiny bit of solace to the family. What a loss to this world.

Real tough one to understand. Met him a few times and gave him a heads up on some turkeys. Always had a smile on his face and was very nice. Sad.

Allan was my best friend. He was the most avid outdoorsman I knew. He was even the one who introduced me to the Nodak Angler community. He absolutely loved anything to do with hunting/fishing/camping and loved to share his experiences with others. He will truely be missed. And thanks for posting the link on Facebook vollmer. Without it, it may have taken me a while to find this thread.
