Yes, it was directed at you and I misinterpreted your post. Sorry friend.

For real.

I was skimming and confused "excepting" with "expecting". This is a prime example of how shit can get dangerous. I ASSumed a grammatical error with "your".

Always try to take a breath and scan.

In essence, I skimmed and fucked up.

This thread makes me sad... seems like too often taxidermists take on too much and their hobby / art / passion becomes work and not what they wanted... Hard to grow a business that has such a personal stamp to it...

That bird would be getting picked up and moved out of there so fast it would make your head spin if that was mine. No way would I risk a bird of a lifetime like that after what ive read here!

rod control. wow that is a sweet ass bird.....

I don't agree with Dean much...but when I do it involves getting sweet, rare birds from a taxedermists freezer when it has been 3 years......

at the very least be persistent with him, that's my regret

He needs to be taken to small claims court IMO. Bird of a lifetime and all you get back is the god damn deposit?!?!? No response from the the business owner for months and months??? And he threw away the bird without notifying you first....he's on the hook for a least a grand I would say...

And DAMN is that a nice mount guy....my goodness

In front.
Neat roost rod. Pretty young/pinny though. Did he mention the higher probability of those feathers slipping?

Yea he did mention that. So im assuming that's the excuse I will get when he says he doesn't have the bird anymore.

Hey gave you a bad rep for that post? Maybe he's not cross-eyed just highly dyslexic.

Bahaha good call trip! Just looked and the first thread hornhunter ever posted on was the last thread for Sakangler! That would be one massively amazing coincidence!

like I posted he did mention our bird being pin feathery too, which yeah shot in sept possible....however during our communication over the 3 years which was scarce hard to get ahold of him all he would say is I will let you know when I open it up....and yes I have saved all text messages/voicemails any communication we had and he never once mentioned throwing it out. then all of a sudden I get that reply and it was " not salvageable, it stunk" so he threw it out.

I sure hope he doesn't use that excuse with you...... sounds like it heading there though.

hornhunter- I guess I did agree with trip and dean on the snow goose thread. dean is knoweledagble about snowgeese, I cant conform his knowledge on anything else but he does know snows geese. slightly different than butt buddies but I can see how it gets confused in you cross eyed rainbow tinted world......
