Just a bad year, no idea what the solution is. I tried trolling against the embankments, tried a drift sock, and just throwing an anchor. In all three cases it just becomes a chore and I'm more stressed than relaxed. Best bet, if possible, is to take advantage of the late sunsets and just go out after work.

Maybe you should start working weekends so the rest of us can enjoy them.

Is this how it feels? I find windy days keeps the fair weather fisherman at home and far less shenanigans at the ramp and on the lake.

This is exactly how it feels... But after dealing with the wind in the pftf Audubon tournament I have been ready for some calm seas... Oh well!

Typical may June. Weather. No more windy this June as in the past imo. July can't come quick enough. Imo ice fishing wind has been worse then when I used to ice fish as a kid

Well can say that yesterday midday was nice and flat clam and the bass were going nuts leaping clear out of the water catching dragon flys. Made for some great top water action with fish on nearly every cast.:;:howdy

It is still a ways out, but it looks like it will blow again this coming weekend. Not even calming down much morning or evening. And there goes June. :(

The best shift I ever worked in my life had rotating days off. I worked 3-11. 6 days on and 2 off with 2 three-day weekend every six weeks. It seemed to help in beating the F'd up weekend weather pattern and I got to enjoy being out during the week without all the pressure. I also got to hunt/fish/do my projects during the morning when i was good and fresh.
