What are you guys shooting in a sxs 20ga? I would like one without a hammer or double trigger. Any brand to recommend that won't break bank?

I got my wife a Baikal 20ga. sxs a few years ago, cheap, but works great. The action is a bit stiff, but no other issues and it shoots great!

I shoot a Stevens 311, but it is double triggers and yes sometimes I pull them both. It is a favorite gun of mine.

What is considered breaking the bank? CZ makes a Bobwhite in 20 gauge for $999 suggested retail so can probably be had for less. They also had a Ringneck that was discontinued but can still be found new occasionally for under $1000.

Agree! I had one also. Gave it away to a young boy who lost his Dad. His uncle was taking him bird hunting. Since I am vertical challenged the stock had been shortened. So was very good for him.

There are a few on Guns International for around 500 bucks. Which I think a good buy. Saw a real nice Browning at the GF gun show this year for 1200

I also got a Stevens 311 except in 16 gauge off of gun broker last year for around 300, dura blued the barrels and redid the stock. They're nice guns for the money.

I do NOT mind double triggers. Have had both and I must be a very adaptable person cause either will work for this short, overweight, crippled, up cowboy.:;:

"Won't Break the Bank" and "Side-by-Side Shotgun" could mean anything that costs less than a brand new fully loaded diesel 3/4 pickup.

This 20ga SxS is available:

What is that?

Beretta 471 SilverHawk 20ga/28”, Beretta screw in chokes, ~500 rounds through it. 1 season of Skeet league and ~10days of upland Hunting. I don’t shoot it as well as I do some others so it’ll go bye-bye when I find it a good home.

Is that a question or statement?

A question, sounds like you are selling it, just wondering the price.

I have a Browning BSS 12ga, absolutely love that gun. I purchased mine 12 years ago for like $650 at Cabelas, still the best deal I've gotten on a gun in my opinion. I did purchase a CZ 12ga now, as I didn't want to put as much wear and tear on the BSS.

$3K to a good home. But, this is like buying a puppy from an exclusive kennel. The buyer will have to prove they'll be a worthy owner. (Grin)
