My droid is as slow as a GST-Plainsman argument. My office and Wi-Fi are titty sprinkles fast

Using the full site on my phone and my laptop. Correct me if I am wrong. But, I an unable to see the "Recent Activity" on the Mobile Version. That's why I don't use it. Maybe you can direct me how to do it. Anyway... here is a video I shot of the Hummingbird thread loading. From the time i click on the thread until it is completely finished loading, it is a 2 minutes and 22 seconds.

I very seldom see any speed issues on either my laptop, work pc, my phone (droid) or my tablet (droid).

The phone and tablet do load a little slower but nothing that I consider considerably slower.

Nice video I loved to music. You should have immediately gone to a different site to show that it's truly site specific.

i have zero issues with site speed - work computer, laptop, and ipad. Sometimes a bit slow on the phone when not on wifi but really not bad. It is strange indeed why some have such issues. Must be my white, fargo privilege

Thanks for the feedback.

espringers on mobile version, click the home button up top, which brings you to the nav page, then click 'recent activity'.

Bandwidth. Bandwidth. Bandwidth.

I have zero issues with speed. I run chrome on 30 Mb/sec through Midco.

Other things to consider are: 1) what is the age of your cable modem and 2) what is the capacity of your router 3) how many users are on your wifi network.

I see a slight slowdown in the evening when all the neighbors get home from work and start using bandwidth but it is still very fast.

I am fully aware of bandwidth, modems, etc... and I will post another video tomorrow showing it really is site specific. But, the above video shows something beyond even cell service problems. There is clearly some sort of cell service compatability issue. I can load a full site of any other Web page on my 4g Verizon network nearly as fast as my home wifi with the exception of this site. I've never experienced such things.

my home wifi is fast on my phone, laptop and or desktop.

I believe it is an issue with the site. I'm working on it. Had an issue with another member, and updating and hard resetting his phone fixed it.

If I dont figure it out, I may have to upgrade to different forum software (big job). Plus it would mean all users would need to get used to something new again.

Well I wouldn't spend a bunch of money or put too much effort into change if it's just a couple of us. I am just venting and whining. I ain't gonna stop coming here. Site works great on all platforms at home. Sorry for the bitching.

Don't feel bad. I appreciate the feedback, good or bad. If I can't figure it out, I may try upgrading server, and see if that helps.

This site still sucks on my home lap top. I use a verizon mobile modem with 4G and it takes forever to load a page and most times asks me if I want to wait or kill it. Never seem to have an issue with any other sites at home like this one.

At work with wifi and it's just like other sites and very fast.

The problem isn't coming from the site though.

Did you read this thread at all? This is all about mobile devices getting bogged down. It has nothing to do with WiFi and even less to do with land line cable Internet. It is only this site that it happens on with what appears to be specific operating systems.

i reread all the posts on this. other than iphone, it appears it affects all platforms from time to time when connected via cell carrier and its only site specific. so, its not a download or upload speed issue or a bandwidth issue and i doubt a new server would solve the problem. it appears to be some underlying compatibility issue. i could load the most picture and video heavy High Definition gay porn site you could find on al gore's interweb with my cell phone right now on my 4g network and it will load nearly as quickly or faster than my home wifi or my other office wifi. but, not this site. i will say that occasionally it loads normally. but, that is far from the norm.

yep - certain sites (NDA is one) cause the cell data vs. wifi interweb wrestling match on my iphone.

If I turn one or the other off - away she goes and things load normally/quickly.

- - - Updated - - -

On some phones you can set it up for cellular "assist" - when wifi gets weak it uses cellular data to bolster the speeds.

I recall this was the cause some months ago when I looked into it for my phone. Can't recall if I turned it off or what.

Thank you for your insite.

This is what I get at home:

Sometimes a thread will load fine, sometimes it's really slow and sometimes it takes forever and gives you that and if you click wait it usually loads right away. This is the only site that it seems to happen with so I'm at a loss for what it could be....
