South of Cancun, Rivera Maya

I'm taking the family down in a week. I would like to go fishing for any species that is not too expensive. Does anybody have any recommendations on who to call or contact to set up a trip? I'll probably be fishing by myself. Did I miss the opportunity to charter something or can a just talk to my resort?:;:help

Pack a small tackle box n a cheap combo along, youll catch random fish all day long down there.

Normally can get something lined up, charters like full boats. Make sure you check into it the 1st or 2nd day there because if it does happen, it will be toward the end of your trip.They do take name and # in case of cancellation. Good luck !

My wife and I just got back from Catalonia Riviera Maya in Puerta Adventuras(not sure on spelling) a month ago. This place was a 15 minute walk from our hotel. Here is a business card I picked up. I chartered a 31 foot boat for just my wife and I for 6 hours, fishing was slow but we were lucky enough to get some fish. It was definately different than fishing the Missouri and Oahe. They said the best time for fishing is in May, two weeks before or two weeks after the full moon. Hope this helps you out.

Book early in week and talk to your resort. You can also walk the beach and locals will take you out for price.
