We had a ton of snow last week here in AZ and we were out and about with our Polaris General Saturday and Sunday putzing around town. There were parents and kids sliding down hills of snow, building snowmen, and snow forts. It really was something to see and brought back tons of memories too!
The parents were joining right in with the kids doing and building of these things.
I guess if you never see or very seldom see snow and it is nice out, it would be a treat.
Heard on the radio that most were from the "valley" as they call it here which is the Phoenix area.
It didn't matter if the hills were long and high or just little short hills like 20'. They were sliding down them and really it was fun to see and hear everyone laughing and having a good time!
Some had pants on and boots and some had shorts and tennis shoes. Sure made these 2 old geezers laugh!
So nice to see the parents out with their children and the children playing outside rather than playing video games.
I will take a guess and say there were a couple thousand people (and i know i am under estimating) out and about doing these activities. Like i said any little hill had someone on it. The 39''- 41'' of snow we had in the 2 days last week will be all gone by this Wednesday or Thursday other than on the north side of some buildings.

I guess for me I am not quite willing to move to Ar. at this point even if this weather is really sickening up here. Cold must keep something out of this state yet. But one more month of this maybe it is time to re-think.

The wife said we are going to Texas for a week by end of this week so that should help.
Why Texas? I guess that's the page that was open first in the atlas for us and it is south, maybe no crossing at the border there from down south, maybe. db

I tried teach my boys how to dig a snow tunnel fort, but my 7 year old caved some of it on my 4 year old and it went down his collar. That ended it pretty quick. Ha ha

Another thing southerners get excited about are Northern Lights , Us Northerners that grew up around it probably take a lot for granted I guess .
