Today on lunch I seen my first Geese on the north edge of Minot. Surprised the heck out of me since we still have snow covering 95% of the ground and no open water. I suppose the geese are thinking what the hell is going on. Just checked the 10 day forecast and it shows 30s and some low 40s for highs over the next 10 days. Those geese are either going to have to turn around and go back south a ways or be willing to roost on ice for a few more weeks. This fricken winter doesn't want to let go yet.

Spring isn't here yet. I've seen robbins and heard some wood ducks which are two of the required spring time critters for me, but until I see mourning doves, spring hasn't arrived yet.

Seen some crows, get a kick out of it, most of us have lived here all our lives and we are always amazed at Spring

Spring is a myth in ND. Doesn't exist. We only have 2 seasons. Winter and road construction.
