If you are just using regular sonar why not use the US2 built into it?

I am not

my q is to see if anybody has run down a cord other than hbird. I am looking at that garmin - the cord looks thicker. My trolling motor is up north so i cannot look at it.

I've seen it done, works well. I always was going to do it on mine, but never got around to it, and then sliced the ducer cord in half last fall of course. Guess I'm going sonar only now, the adapter for us2 was $20 vs $200 for a new DI ducer.
