Well, 2 years of probation versus 20 years to life is one heck of a bargain. It was the prosecutor though who wanted to spare the kid from having to testify. I am guessing the prosecutor holds all the cards in this game.

I’ve said this before but I’ll write it again as I feel that this might actually cause a pedophile to rehab.

Anesthetize, intubate, paralyze with a Neuromuscular blocker on a continuous infusion. Let the anesthetic wear off but continue the paralysis. The pedophile will be completely aware and alert, but 100% unable to signal that fact. Get the vent set to keep their blood O2 saturation high 80’s to no higher than 90. The person will feel like they’re continually just about out of breath, with no way to alert/inform anyone.

I can’t really think of any other way to impart that feeling of insecurity and utter helplessness onto pedophiles that they torture their victims with for a lifetime.
