Ha ha right! My wife would almost come to tears every time I brought our old Kenmore washer and dryer back to life. Tears of frustration and disappointment that is!The best part about growing up broke is there’s no other option but to learn how to fix things. Washing machines and dryers are pretty easy to fix with a little mechanical experience. If it’s squeeling or shutting off I’d bet a bearing went out somewhere on the roller drum. When it won’t turn it’ll throw a code and turn off. Ive had both my units torn apart and have had success in replacing parts to get more miles out of them. Dryers are easier imo as it’s usually sensors or burners that go out and are simple to replace. Dryer is going on 15 years now.
Thanks to youtube I'm a home appliance genius, as a matter of fact I am looking into fixing this 4.5 year old maytag and giving it to my mom since the thing looks like brand new yet.
