Ha ha right! My wife would almost come to tears every time I brought our old Kenmore washer and dryer back to life. Tears of frustration and disappointment that is!
Agreed but finding parts is getting harder for the same reason. People just don't fix stuff anymore so the stores don't even carry parts. Had a hell of a time finding a dryer fuse the last time it went out so I bought 10 when I finally did!
Truer words never been spoken.. Common sense, just like hanging up ur towel to use again instead of throwing it on the floor to get all stinky, talk about a pet peeve..
I’ve done dryers but never a washer bearing. If I remember correctly some of the units you have to remove the tub.
I bought an extended warranty (factory)on my pickup for about $1400.00. 1 year after factory warranty was up I had 5k in work done to my pickup and a number of other things since. Some times they work sometimes they dont, for me the $1,400.00 was well worth the price. It covered 10 years 100,000 miles. $140 a year is peanuts and i would pay the $1400 again without hesitation. Now would i pay for an extended warranty on a toaster or oven ..not a chance.
That is the ticket my friend is a repair man for 40 years.
Hope he is better then the ones we have around bismarck. I wouldnt take advice from to many of them. I have had 3 issues with different appliances, repair man from 3 different places have come out....all 3 issues i have ordered parts myself and fixed AFTER said repair man had their chance. I have come to the conclusion I will just fix myself or buy new and will not take advice on whats good or not from them..they dont seem to know much unless its flat out obvious.
I'm just praying my new appliance that came with the house last. The repairman won't even come down to fix it. Well they might now but when they were under warranty they wouldn't. Since the home was built in MN and the appliances were purchased there, the local dealers wouldn't touch any warranty work. PS Don't get Frigidaire!
