Yep every week I get itchy for ice but just have to wait. Going to try to fill in with pheasant hunting, unfortunately I'm a bad shot and I think my lab is getting tired of my misses

And here I thought it was supposed to be a cold winter! I've made it out the last three years on Thansgiving weekend- this weather ruined the tradition!!

Another week or two should be good ice in some spots. Week from Monday lows down around zero...won't be long now!

If we get the snow they are predicting, any lakes that already have ice on them will not freeze worth a shit. It will be the same as last year, where I never drove my pickup on the ice.;:;banghead

Tikk...I was on Audubon yesterday in the jon boat...no ice yet. All the snow coming in the next few days shouldn't hurt ice build too much.

I put on quite a few miles over a good portion of the state the last few days and anything that holds fish doesn't have a bit of ice on it that I saw. This snow shouldn't cause many problems in that regard.

Anyone know how his heavy snow affected the ice building on small lakes? I really hope they were not frozen before this snow. I assume the bigger lakes like sak and Audubon were still open.
