36 hours per week. I consider that retirement hours after being self employed for 20 years.

44 per week + 4 hours travel time per week. unless on weekend call 4+- times a year then all bets are off.
The shift work is worse than the hours/week.

My job is pretty flexible. During the summer I try to work 9 hours a day Monday - Wednesday and then leave early to golf Thursdays and early to fish on Fridays. During the winter I try to work 9 hrs a day Monday-Thursday and leave early Fridays to ice fish. I usually am pretty close to 40.

Highly variable for me, supposed to work 40, but when I have the kids I get in about 35-38. Weeks I don't have the kids are more like 40-42, and then there's the busy season where I work anywhere up to 35 days in a row of 8-16 hr days. Hopefully those years are now behind me (us).

And wow have I drawn the short straw lately with the timing on bad weather with my days off!

The first 4-5 years of my career were 60+ hour weeks. Evening, Saturdays, you name it. The last 5-6 years have been much easier to take. There are weeks when 40 hours can happen, but I prefer the 25-35 hour deal if it works out. I have actually started working more now than I did a couple years ago just to be better at it. It's not as much fun as fishing as much as I used to, but it will put the kids through college and put me on a solid track to retirement.

12 hour days, with 7 on 7 off, I start work on a Friday and work until the following Thursday then off for a week and do it all over again.

Salaried but 55 to 60 is probably the norm. Generally Monday through Friday so that leaves me the weekends to play.

45-58 hours with weekends off is the norm for me. For some reason when I mention leaving work early Fridays they usually end up being my longest days.

Average 35-40 in the winter and anywhere between 40-90+ spring through fall, depending on the weather. And a ton of weekends other than in the winter
