I'm not normally one to be "holy $hit" impressed by too many products....but I was this week.

My auger is about 15 years old and has always run just fine but tended to be a little cold blooded and would quit if it idled for more than 2 minutes, which is about par for most augers I've ever been around.

After hearing guys talk about it here, I ran TrueFuel in my auger for the first time and have been using it for the past 2 weeks. I'm telling you if you haven't tried it, do so. My auger didn't run this good the day I bought it!

It does seem that my HPG (holes per gallon) seems to be way down compared to gasoline, but if it runs this good I don't care. Anyone else see similar results?

Is it like HEAT? Will it work in 4 stroke engines?

I read about this premixed gas awhile ago but have never seen it for sale. Anyone want to post where they buy it? When I read about it the price/gallon was pretty nigh, Then I started thinking about how much I would use in a weedeater, chain saw, and ice auger. I'm not sure I would use more than a gallon or two in a year. If the engines would always run flawlessly the price would be pretty cheap in my mind.

Keep in mind that there are those who have no interest in getting in my mind. Would be be tempted to buy some if I know where it's available. I get around the state some so just name a business and I'll probably be there before I need it.

I bought some at Menards. Around $5 a quart.

Thank you. If my math is correct, 4qts/gal X $5/quart = $20.00 per gallon. For the little I use my weed-whip (small yard) and chain saw (trim a few branches each year, no firewood) and went to ION auger. My bill might add up to all of about $10. That's about 2 or 3 beers and for me that hassle of mixing and getting the mixture correct makes the case worth it. Now I don't think I would want to fill my boat for a day of fishing but otherwise I think it's a good deal.

If your auger can't idle for 2 minutes on its own, it needs carb work IMO. I've been around a couple Iffy's (jiffy) like this.

Bought 2 quarts yesterday at Menards for my new auger...worked like a champ...no mess! 50:1 for mine, 92 octane, no ethanol...good stuff, not sure what oil is used in it?

The only reason, besides the price, I don't buy it, is not knowing what they mixed together. I usually just buy a quart of pennzoil, use a measuring cup, and go down to holidays lonely ethanol free 91 octane pump, and mix two gallons. Between the auger, leaf blower, and trimmer that I have a half a dozen attachments for. Two gallons lasts about 3 months.

What weight oil do you buy? I wish you'd posted this years ago!

The stuff is spendy if you look at it per gallon price. For me not having to deal with mixing oil and keeping a gas can in the back of the pickup. That always seems to tip over and leak.

I run the vp stuff which is same concept as the truefuel but I do know the vp has a 3 year shelf live so if you do put it in a small engine you don't have to worry about the gas breaking down when you put it away for the year.
