I always thought it was because I'm not much of a multi tasker. Whatever I'm driving I like to hear the vehicle. It started when I was a kid learning to drive the 63 chevy Biscayne manual with 3 on the tree. When I was farming , I had a radio in tractor and combine but never turned them on, always have to listen to what I am doing. When I'm driving alone down the highway on a boring road trip I go on a thinkabout , usually with super deep concentration and before I know it I'm there.
