Got on the water this morning, not too awful early. I think we were floating by 8:00 am. The wind had been blowing out of the West for a handful of days, now, so we started on the East shoreline. We didn’t go far before we were marking fish, so we threw the cranks in and started trolling.
The fish were in that 13-15 fow range, and quite abundant. We were pulling flicker minnow 9’s at about 2.3 mph. The two of us had our limit in about an hour. All of the colors we had on were catching. Blue smelt, firetiger and wonder bread.
We decided to keep on fishing, for fun. We kept trolling, but switched to live bait. That was working well, as well.
Looking forward to a fun summer!
