Blue uhmw is more UV resistant is what I'm told when they sell it to me. The white degrades quickly when left in the sun.

This would depend on the material and supplier. Blue pigment is added to the natural color at time of extrusion. The supplier may have put UV stabilizer filler in as well. Or with it being blue, just isn't as noticeable when it turns colors.

Ahhhh....NO, well maybe

That's what they say about the stuff they use to line truck boxes. As in TRUCKS not pickups. I have plenty experience with both the blue and the white. A majority of what we use is normal white uhmw for slides, chain guides etc... Anything exposed to the sun for long periods of time such as truck boxes, we use the blue. The only way to explain is that the white uhmw will have a dried out appearance and will begin to crack and get brittle when left exposed. We've replaced the blue bed liners just because of wear and tear, but even after years of use, it doesn't show the degradation like the white does.
