Make a few deals to 1) Get more Bakken NG to run it at capacity, 2) get a short branch of pipeline off basically right where the DAPL is going in to a new petrochemical plant on the Res. It can be done.

A petro chemical plant needs Natural gas liquids as its main feedstock. Neither DAPL or northern border ship NGL. The Rez would be a poor location. It may have been a better location for a urea plant that runs off of mainly natural gas and water. Too bad GF is getting the only plant because the demand is not high enough to support two massive urea plants. That is why the one by Jamestown was cancelled

i wonder... we could refine bakken crude... in the bakken... instead of transporting millions of barrels of it south and east... and then transporting 100's of millions of gallons of gas and diesel back up he...

There are already established supply pipelines running into the state. If you build a new plant here you need to find someone to buy your fuel unless you own your own stations otherwise you have to compete on price. There is not a big enough demand for a new refinery. The Devils lake refinery won't happen unless the boom comes back for good and the diesel demand goes up. Our gas comes from either billings(CHS), a refinery from Kansas that has a pipeline to Jamestown area, or a Magellan pipeline that runs to Fargo and grand forks from the cities?

I had been told Northern Border was a NGL line and that made sense to me as I was meant to understand that transporting it as NGL was far more efficient. My bad.

that deer may have been shot by the native fella in the picture. they have different laws on the reservation for the natives. and i am not sure they need to actually have the animal tagged to take it off reservation for processing. probably just need some sort of transport tag in their possession.

Bet they dont.... all they have to clame is its a rez deer and the tags were on another leg. The only thing they might be able to get them on is transporting deer with attached spinal column and brain case outside of a CWD unit. And that only works if they can prove they are north of the river.
