Protesters are playing with fire now trespassing on sites between New Salem and Glen Ullin today. Getting into some territory where the land owners I know would definitely be taking things into their own hands. :gotone:

here is the real cause of all this. originally they wanted to run it through the reservation. pipeline company offered 10 million to go through the rez. the greedy bastards said nope 50 million. so they went another direction. so now the tribal leaders have fired up the youngens to raise hell and make it look like a water and burial issue. haven't been able to confirm it but it makes perfect sense. the media will no doubt try to portray that wasn't the case.

Yeah I've seen that rummer on here and else where and it just doesn't seem to make sense. If they had gone through the rez not only are you adding another county in which to pay taxes in but your adding a second substantial river crossing. These guys purposely avoided any unnecessary river crossings to the point that they break away from the Northern Border line just after crossing the Hart river if traveling east to west so they didn't have to cross big muddy creek. I wonder if the money was for the current spot just to placate them?

Pipeline has now sued the protesters and is seeking a restraining order. If i was them i would tell the cops to do their job because were not going to stop doing ours.

so is arresting someone for trespassing even if it is a reporter doing their job?

Probably none especially when these people can't pay their child support or even their car tabs. Look at the leader of one of the camps that got arrested.

And if you were running the pipeline company where else would you have put it? Why would you spend more money for a different location when there is no risk benefit. Companies may spend the extra but if it give some benefit such as reducing risk. Why disturb a brand new area when you can follow one already established
