Anyone know the total cost of this so far? I read 10 million from the state, 8 million from Morton County, and who knows how much the pipeline company has spent on security, damaged equipment, etc. and lost work time. While I understand environmental concerns about pipelines, I also believe we have to rely on oil still. This pipeline is the best we can do right now. Why do we continue to allow what are essentially domestic terrorists to dig their heels in at the cost of millions to everyone else? I am amazed how far it has gone.

I bet the pipeline company is losing a couple million each day the line startup is delayed. I can see why they would pay the police bill if they could just keep these people away long enough to finish the pipeline.

As we speak rail cars keep rolling down the tracks until this pipeline is completed. Too bad common sense doesn't exist on the far left.

Kfyr radio had some guy on this afternoon ( not sure who the guest was but he sounded like he knew what was going on ) and he said the pipeline company offered to give the tribe the cannonball ranch and they rejected them. He also said that they wanted what amounted to was a toll fee in which they would be paid for every barrel of oil that flowed through the pipeline. Not sure if it is true or not just what he said.

I'm sure that eventually the truth will come out about this woman's arms but one thing we know for sure is that IT IS DEFINITELY HER PARENTS' FAULT. Your kid is camping out on an Indian reservation engaging in a riot and you immediately make a statement to the media about how it's someone else's fault. You're a bad parent and you are to blame.

Father of injured DAPL protester says law enforcement is to blame for her injury

Minneapolis, MN - The father of an injured pipeline protester is speaking out about his daughter's condition saying officers are to blame.

But law enforcement describe a different scenario at the Backwater Bridge.

In Minneapolis today, Wayne Wilansky said his daughter maintains police threw a grenade at her during a confrontation at the bridge Sunday night.

He says doctors informed him as many as 20 surgeries might be needed if Sophia Wilansky, 21, has any hope of keeping her arm.

In less than 24 hours, more than $200,000 has been raised on Go-Fund-Me for Sophia's medical funds.

"The force of the explosion blew the bone out of her arm and all of the arteries and all of the muscle that supports her arm," said Wayne Wilansky. "It just blew out. It wasn't caused by a fire or anything else. This was a grenade, this is a weapon of war."

The Morton County Sheriff's Office says no one used any concussion grenades.

They say an explosion, heard during the confrontation, may have been caused by small propane tanks protesters had rigged to explode.

They're also releasing these pictures of improvised weapons they've found including slingshots and rocks.

I see dad is blaming law enforcement for his daughters stupidity play with fire you WILL get burned. Will Someone please throw that F**king obomer out of office. That guy has caused more crap then any one man should. He doesn't play on the same team. I know a few people who are law enforcement that are in serious burnout and its only a matter of time before someone dies hopefully its not them.

This is from our neighbor who's husband is on the Burleigh County sheriff's dept and he has spent a considerable amount of time down there away from his family. Any donations can be dropped off at either department.

Hats off to you Huff they will surely appreciate your generosity. I hope everybody can pitch in a little something for the LEO's.

Anybody here think like I do and are kind of upset with the pipeline company also? With this pipeline costing billions of dollars, why can't they spend a couple of million on a PR company to defend their side of the story? Getting tired of everybody else having to defend them and having so many stories out there. If they are denied going under the Missouri, they need to accept some of the blame.

While I don't know all of the details, I do agree that the DAPL parent companies haven't probably handled their PR that well. They need to be straight up at all times and get their story out. They've followed most all rules and procedures from what I've read but have mishandled some, like when they found cairns, jumped through the hoops and rerouted, but never really told everyone they needed too. It just looks bad regardless of how it actually went.

Did stop the remote at msnbc last night and they had a bit about the protest. Was not a good take on ND, our law enforcement or oil.
Somehow the other side of this story needs to also get out in the media. Can not just sit and take that abuse from the protestors and the media. Trump took it from all including his own party but won. Black life matters dish it out and now we have cop killings.

Our current president has no intention of stopping it. The guy has a chip on his shoulder due to the color of his skin and will do whatever to get his way.
Not sure of the answer but we need to fight back at least by the use of the media even if we have to pay for actual news. Take out a full page news report in the Washington Post or New York Times with the other side and actual side of the story. Some of our leaders need to get on msnbc to tell the story.
State it was her making a bomb that blew up on her and how they lie to get one on their side. I would not wait until we find that out for sure as they are telling there story without knowing for sure. Tell about the protestors shooting point blank at law enforcement, outsiders coming and being paid to come and the stories can be many to influence those not there. We need to win and we cannot win with bullets but by having the general public understanding what is really going on.
They are trying to win using the media and we need to fight back using the media. db

the company has been putting the information out on social media.

The use of water on them the other night really got their goat. I would love to see half a dozen big rigs with water tankers drive through the gates at their camp and spray water all over the damn place. flood em out. wait till it's in the teens. install some of those fan sprayers on both sides of the truck and just drive around.
