Wondering on ice conditions for the western half of North Dakota?

Heard rumors of 10" at tobacco gardens ?

Looking to go to either blacktail dam or cottonwood in williams county north of williston.

Also is there something we can do on this site maybe create 6 stickys (NE, SE, N.CENTRAL S.CENTRAL NW, SW) for local ice reports??

That way people can follow a thread specifically to there areas???

Thanks!

In my experience throwing big rocks out on the ice, make sure right in front of access, is the best report and way better than asking online:;:stirthepot

I've always found western ice to be similar to eastern ice, except it has a mustache and chews Cope instead of Kodiak

what we need is a chart to go with diameter of the rocks we throw right in front of the dock to show how thick of ice holds what rock

This sounds like a real neat idea. I see in blue plate country a local bait shop provides this info. Might be good if local bait shops here in ND did the same type of thing.

This is a good idea. then we can just plug all the data into a TPS Report for all to see.

Was out off long creek on sak about 200 yds on Saturday. 4-5" of ice. Did see a perm back up in short creek so there must of been more ice back up in the bay.

All second hand information so take it for what it's worth…..12 inches ice at Audobon……heard someone fell through ice walking out on Metagoshie…..and heard a vehicle took a dive at one of lakes south of Velva (Antelope or Clear)
