Who's Ready For Ice Fishing?

Anyone else starting to think about ice fishing, with these cool mornings?

I'm looking forward to it, but still have a lot of boat fishing to enjoy yet this fall. Ice fishing is much more relaxing for me which is a nice change of pace.

Yep! I am finally letting go of the gas auger. I bought the Milwaukee M18 with Eskimo pistol bit and I am chomping at the bit to use it. Two weeks ago Scheels was in the process of getting all their ice stuff on display. I can hold off a while longer, but it better freeze fast after deer season.

I have a bevy of 8-12lb walleyes to catch before freeze up.

Nope it’s hunting season. I would be happy if it didn’t freeze the water till January

Not like I used to. Still enjoy waterfowl and bow hunting and the occasional pheasant hunt, but it definitely takes a backseat to fishing for me.

I enjoy ice fishing, but not as much as sitting in a stand, or watching my dog work, or still being on open water, or seeing a duck set it’s wings as it comes into the decoys, or doing a spot and stalk, or belly crawling on a flock of honkers, or scouting for deer, or, or, or, or
