Beetles are basically gone in the hills now. They’re cyclical and come & go. The epidemic of the early 2000’s is over and the majority of the bug kill timber is cut. Even to the point it hurt the timber inventory and logging overall. They’re not like zebra mussels that are here forever.

You are so dumb you logged into your burner account. You go out there and give that a shot and see how it works out. You have no clue how the real world works outside of memaws basement .
Yeah, he did. I was more on "his" side. :( Also, you need to watch yore spelling.

You never know these days, it's possible they could have dropped pine beetles from airplanes years ago just waiting for this moment.
I bet they had some kind of secret vaccine while transporting them with fake weather balloons that only activated them when trump got in office. So he could put the fires out and save Canada and summer for North Dakota so we can annex them in for the 51st state. It’s all so clear now.

Once we take Canada will they still be Canada geese or do we change them to America Geese like we did with the gulf of America?

I wouldn't go as far as calling them section line. There more like boundaries with no roads for miles. And yes you would need a GPS to follow. In them remote areas you couldn't follow a straight line. So before you know it your off the line and on private land. And that is when trouble starts.
Exactly, I never said there were roads on them. Most of them have no roads and are impassable by auto but they are still there. Maybe hike in with a handheld GPS and you could stay on the section line and not trespass on private land.

I realize that its dry and the remoteness up their makes it difficult to put out their wildfires. But the fact that Trudeau made comments saying they would like to implement climate change lockdowns like they did for Covid makes it hard to think that they aren't just letting stuff burn to justify their communist tendencies. So they can say "See climate change is so bad we have all these uncontrollable fires so we need to do something". Newsome tried to pull the same crap in California.

Except they have always had a history of not putting much effort into firefighting unless it's threatening homes and lives. Some like to think this is about recent politics (like, I don't know...last 200 years). Plain and simple, it's very expensive to fight fires in the middle of nowhere.

Canada has what...some 37 million people compared to 330 million Americans? That's about nine times the population, economy, and taxing (you know, the people that pay the bills for firefighting) in the U.S. compared to Canada. I can only imagine the comments on the "firefighting" increase in one's overall taxes. It would be damn expensive up in Canada, per person, taxpayer, or however one would like to look at it.

If you would check ND law you would realize that ALL of ND has section lines. You really can't be that stupid! You are starting to sound like another far-left Climate Change activist!

For "having lived in ND for 60 years", it doesn't really seem like you've visited much of it.

Yep and i ve been reading articles online that states like Washington and Montana are seeing more and more signs of these beetles making their way here where there was none before. Kind of the same issue with zebra mussels

One of the differences between the two is that cold weather kills the beetle. I forget the actual temperature, but that line is moving. And the beetles are moving with it.

I suppose cold will also kill a zebra mussel, but I think they will eventually infect every puddle in the lower 48.
