I agree with you bigj, it's tasteless, of which I am guilty of, and apologize.

Yes, I wish I didn't have to say some things, but they are not racist they area simply reality. It's sort of like Trump and Bill Clinton. Which is worse doing it or saying it?

The proposed Devils Lake refinery is already a thing of the past. They decided several months ago that it is a "no go". The only refinery that is currently being worked on is the Davis Refinery out by Fryburg, just a few short miles from the Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

Don't count it out yet.

No need to apologize to me. I don't have a dog in this fight either way. I'm just taken back and blown away by how racist and stereotypical people are and the shit that spews out of otherwise good people, through the internet.

The racist comments and slander in this thread is humiliating.

If you visit gofundme.com and search "nodapl" it returns 294,000 results. Must be at least a few thousand funding campaigns for hippies who want to post selfies with real live injuns. Makes me sick.

BREAKING: Law enforcement is currently engaged in a standoff with protesters on the banks of the Cantapeta Creek. Protesters are trying to gain access onto pri...vate property also known as the Cannon Ball Ranch. Early this morning, law enforcement witnessed a group of protesters building a hand-made, wooden pedestrian bridge across the Cantapeta Creek. Officers responded and ordered protesters to remove themselves from the bridge and notified them that if they cross the bridge they would be arrested. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has given Morton County orders to remove the make-shift bridge and arrest protesters who cross for criminal trespass. Law enforcement used a boat to pull the bridge apart.
Protesters continued to gain access by swimming and using other boats to get across the river.
Law enforcement continue to notify protesters that anyone who cross the river and enters Corps or private property will be arrested.
Protesters involved in this activity are violating numerous federal and state laws

Hi, I'm the internet, have we met? :;:huh

Seriously though, this forum is a lot more civilized than the #nodapl message boards or comments on any news article. If it hurts your feelers don't click on it.

Wow the Corp actually took a stand well Holy Ship shit Batman! they must have given the authority to do this yesterday or before because there were a number of stories yesterday about guard guys threatening to arrest people who are down on the beach on the Missouri side. I was assuming the guard guys didn't know the letter of the law because I certainly wouldn't have guessed the corp would have given them permission to do it but maybe they did. if all is true then the natives are 100% blocked from getting anywhere near the actual work site.

At a Mom and Pop cafe this morning. two uniformed deputies from a county in MN were there. Talked to them just briefly. They were headed west to assist in this cluster. Thanked them and wished them well and safe. There are alot of good folks that are trying to help out.

It is so hard to believe that the media and alot of people seem to think that if you are a minority the laws don't apply to you.
Trespassing and destroying someone elses property is OK??? WTF has this country come to???

I wonder how well a teaser works on a wet body? LOL They need some colder windier days and these scrubs won't be wanting to get wet. Sounds like by the end of week they should be as far as they can go without violating the order form the CORPS, to not continue under the river. Not sure how they plan to protect the site while they wait. I'm sure they will need to haul all equipment off site, or hire someone to watch it.

Just saw one of the biggest issues with the media on this. There is a guy named Atsa E'sha Hoferer that has been posting videos on facebook from the protesters front line. He is an extremest, no doubt about it. He makes insane claims in his videos and everyone is buying it. Reading through the idiotic comments just a minute ago and come across a production assistant or something for an abc news affiliate station in california wanting permission from him to use his videos for their news broadcast. Now this clown is one of the people that is making the majority of the insane claims against the police you hear and he has thousands of followers, all just as stupid as himself. It baffles me that news stations will actually air this crap.

Me! I have 3 hunting buddies who work (different jobs) for a large oil company that purchased a large portion of the carrying capacity of this pipeline. If the pipeline is completed it will provide some additional job security to them during this period of low oil prices. That in turn will help them to chip in for more gas and beer on hunting and fishing trips that we share. :;:cheers
Thank you sir that is the first person to actually say they would know someone who would benefit personally from the pipeline.

All of North Dakota. With DAPL ND production will be much more competitive against the rest of the oil producing regions. The cost to ship on rail is killing jobs in ND and is depressing our economy. If we can compete with the world maybe we will start seeing more jobs come back instead of drilling in Texas. DAPL has a huge effect on the ND oil industry.

New refineries in ND are not a good investment. There is no additional demand needed in ND to consume the refined products. Any new refinery will have to compete against the established suppliers. Any new refinery would need to find a new or under supplied market to supply. The DAPL pipeline will save lives and reduce pollution.
This pipeline has no economical benifet to majority of the people of North Dakota, this oil is pulled from the ground an is piped to a different oil storage facility off state where it's sold to the highest bidder which really is sold over seas. I laugh at the point you made about being competitive to an undersized economy, the fact is light crude oil is much easier to refine to make gasoline over the middle eastern black crude oil. The problem is the refinery we have in the US are designed to refine the Saudi oil which doesn't benifet anyone but a small few. This pipeline is really sucks for North Dakota in the long run becuase we should be waiting for oil to go up instead of drilling for oil to sell to so other country.

Every single American that gives a......It's deeper than money..Energy independence.....Security......

The oil isn't refined in the states it's sold overseas how is that independent security when we need to buy crude oil from real terrorists

I don;lt know if it was mentioned but there was a fella posting on FB how the return of the buffalo signalled the Natives had won. There was video accompoanying it of a bunch of black baldy cows and calves running thru the hills then it cut to the Custer Park Buffalo round up.

The indignation of "supporters" that were told those were cattle and not buffalo was humorous.

As to who benefits.......I and many others involved in ag will benefit. Oil tanker rail cars made it very hard and expensive to get grain cars (engines) on these tracks.

The money was in shipping oil over wheat.

Ahhhhh no those videos of guys driving buffs were at the protest site ....fairly easy to tell with the yellow helicopter buzzing around. the cannonball ranch was a buffalo ranch hell where do our think all the buffs they have killed came from pretty damn sure it wasn't custer! fact is they should have been charged with livestock rustling.

As for today I would love to have sat there watching these schmucks standing wast deep in 40 degree water! going out on a limb here and guessing they weren't to feisty after 15 minutes of that. I see they already had multiple people being treated for hypothermia today and I'm sure they are the first wave of many over the next couple months.
