I think a lot of the internet squabbles would go away if offers of a beer or cup of coffee were acted on.
Good on you GST!
Sounds like a couple of liberal queers to me

On the rabbit drives we were after Jacks.Cottontail or jack?
On the rabbit drives we were after Jacks.
In our class when we were about in the 6th grade or so us boys on Saturdays (after our chores were done in the winter) would go to farmsteads and hunt a few cottontails and then go to one of our homes and fry them up. Did this many Saturdays in the winter through the years. Had fun and what a blast. Never shot more than we would eat. Always a challenge to see who could get the most.
I was told by an old timer in the Badlands many years ago that is was OK to eat a Jack but to look around its ears for boils. If it had boils don't eat them. He said he did it all the time. Said they were sometimes tough and stringy but edible. I personally like the cottontails as they were tender and tasty!
[/COLOR]I would say jack rabbit would fall squarely in the "survival meat only" category. When we were young punks we decided to try it. Even with copious amounts of BBQ sauce and a slow cook on the grill, the meat was not good. Tough, stringy, and gamey. Ick

If you don't condone running down coyotes with sleds then how come you need to report that guys with sleds are killing coyotes with sleds. I disagree with a public broadcast for I wouldn't because illegal is illegal regardless if it's justified. Just my opinion
Odds are your bale won't last very long. Deer will shred a bale in short oder in years like this. When the game and fish were feeding them they would generally put out around five bales at a time at several different spots in the wma I hunted for a total of 15 to 20 bales and in most years with snow the bales would hit the tipping point in around three days. Now there were huge amounts of deer but often these deer would target the bales over the corn and oats that were also there. It appears the hay bale in the backyard idea is working perfectly. Dropped it at about 1:30 and had deer eating on it at 3. Should last a few weeks I hope. Took some pics of the gang along with a FANTASTIC 2.5 yo buck. He's very small in the body, but he sure threw a nice set of horns this year. Hope he makes the winter along with the rest of the bunch.

We should start a deer unlimited club and get these farmers who have piles of round hay bales that sit in their yards never to be used.
