We heard them opening morning, but that was it. No sightings for us this year and the last one I had on cameras was mid October. We have had past years where everybody sees them and they are on most of our cameras. I've seen a couple videos this year of situations similar to yours where the wolves eat up a deer somebody just shot.

Not where I'd like to be

I love trees, but am not a big fan of wolves. Their reintroduction is a thinly-veiled attempt to reduce / eliminate the need for hunting. Seems to have already worked for moose in MN.

The irony is that the "PETA" folk want to eliminate hunting because it's "cruel". You ever see how a wolf kills a deer?

Somebody should tape that tracking device to a Canadians' bumper. Or Mexican

Couple years ago I read about a young male wolf collared in northern Mn,said this youngster was kicked outof the pack which happens if they are not submissive to the leader of the pack I guess, well over a few months this wolf was found dead of a gunshot wound in michigan, alot of territory to cover.

SE ND.
Few years back around Jan Feb was working in that area surveying and had to go back to a logging road to the truck for spare supplies.
Fresh 3-4" of snow that morning and while at the truck decided to step off to the side and do some "paperwork" quick, finished up to see a few fresh wolf tracks that weren't there 1hr earlier which was a little unsettling considering all I had was a 3lb hammer and six 10" pole barn spikes for my trip back.

Company policy was no firearms even if you were in Wolf or bear territory. I had a close encounter with a black bear north of Virginia MN then the wolf tracks

That story sounds very fictitious!
