Ahhh you have to have pheasants left to make a good hatch in the first place. Sure Winters like this can bring some good things around especially if you're a duck but also don't forget that lake oahe is still scrounging around the bottom of the barrel for walleyes and it's directly because of winters like this! Or I guess more so the Corps of Engineers being stupid on where they put the intake on there water release structure at Dam but either way too much water in that Lake can lead to far too few fish left afterwards.

the fish are getting fat fat fat here. They are starting to get the football look again

I think he's talking about the next storm that's supposed to hit late Wednesday into Thursday that's packing winds that possibly could be as high as 50 to 60 miles an hour and several inches of snow to go with it especially for the far Southeast corner. But that one the models keep oscillating back and forth on too much to have really any much of an idea other than the fact it's going to be windy as hell.

Meteostar 16-day shows a warm-up in two weeks. Keep your fingers crossed!

Don't get to wrapped around the axle with those long range forecasts. They have a tendency to look at what can be deduced in the short term, and then blend it to the climatologic average.

Which would suggest a great warming trend on weeks 2-3 from now, even though there is no true reason for that other than we are supposed to be at those temps in weeks 2-3.

Tuesday will mark the first time Grand Forks and Fargo will be above freezing (32F) since January 7th. So the streak of days with temperatures below freezing will end at 63 for both locations, the longest stretch since 1979.

Record length is 86 days for Fargo (winter 1964-65) and 79 days for Grand Forks (winter 1977-78) #mnwx #ndwx

Tell you one thing this next storm with 4 to 8 inches of snow and 60 mph winds coming on top of an area that's already completely inundated in deep snow is going flat out bury a large chunk of the Southeastern part of the state.
