I didn't catch that, and didn't really care. I would guess you'll never see that engine around here. It will be on bigger, far more expensive boats. When the person has deep pockets, it all becomes a pecker-wagging contest anyhow.

I read a few weeks ago, that the big inboard boats are dead, as far as new production. I mean, like 40 ft to 70 ft cigarette style boats are nearly never inboards anymore. Outboards weigh less, are cheaper (believe it or not), take far less room, and are more efficient (fuel-wise). So, those fastboats are going to have outboards now.

Enter, the 600 hp outboard...

I chuckle a little when somebody looks at a walleye boat and says something like “I can’t believe he spent that much!”. When you go to the ocean it’s the equivalent of one motor sitting next to the other two on the back of the boat.

Funny how my lottery win fantasies change with technology. Now a nice 30' offshore boat with a 600 to use on Sak and Oahe sounds like a heck of a plan. Wait, gotta buy a ticket first?!?

Me too, actually.

You see a 60 ft Express with five 400 hp Verados. Not that they're common, but in this world, there are a lot of WEALTHY people.
