Site speed?

This site seems extremely slow on my computer. I run Google Chrome both at work and at home and it's slow at work and REALLY slow at home. It's been like that since I first joined, one of the reasons I haven't been on here much. Thought it may have been just new site blues but maybe it's a problem on my end somehow. Any one else having the same issues? Any ideas to speed it up??

Well I don't visit naughty sites and the other sites I do visit are way faster. I will often get an message saying "Site is unresponsive", then it asks if i want to wait or kill pages.

I'm not having that issue. I run chrome as well. I will be moving to a new server fairly soon. Maybe that will fix it for you.

I run at dail-up speeds here at work and it loads up good for me except if it's a photo heavy thread.

site seems to be plenty fast for me. I run google chrome at home and have zero problems.

Site is quick and zippy for me. Clean out your browser and run a malware scan.

I think that is the line of 500 users waiting to sign up that we have heard about in the past.

Dean, I have an anti-bot program that works really well. Once had a run where 9 accounts got registered but I noticed them, and got that IP added to the ban list. Now, all clean.
