I did a search and the last topic on NODAK is from 2021. I was hunting this last weekend and saw someone with some electric heated socks. They thought they were great. The last time I used "electric" socks were when they were powered by a D cell battery. With winter coming up and I'm assuming a lot of snow removal in my future, are there any recommendations on heated socks? my Artic Muck Pro boots aren't quite cutting the mustard any more.

Also any thoughts on gloves? I move snow in a tractor without a cab or shield. each snowfalls I have at least 5 hrs of snow removal.

Chopper mitts with wool liners. Gloves doubt fully will cut it for 5 hrs, not for me anyhow. Mucks with 100% wool socks for me. D- cell action was the last I tried also many yrs ago

I have a pair of Mobile Warming heated socks from Fieldshear thst I like. The batteries are flat & I hardly notice that they’re there. They’re rechargeable. I got them @ Costco

IME: They are a gyp. MY toes get cold and I'm done. Good socks and deodorant/antiperspirant on my feet extends the wait. Met a crude hauler years ago who told me during a heart procedure the doc ran a probe down his femoral arteries like a bore brush. He would now wear summer socks in good boots.

Anecdotal: That is all.

You forgot to mention polyester socks after you put the anti perspirant on your feet then the poly socks, then wool. And dont wear a boot your feet cant breath. The reason pac boots are still superior is because of the soles, the more distance your feet are from the ice and snow the better insulation.
All these old threads still offer the same advice you will get today

Dang wish I had that problem, my feet sweat so bad and keeping my feet dry is my battle. If I can do that my feet never seem to get cold. I did try heated socks years ago and heavy socks until I figured out why they were getting cold.

I have taken the hand warmers like these and put them under my instep or up in front of ypur toes. And your feet will never get cold.

Use antiperspirant on your feet. I suggest Mitchum Unscented.

I’ve done this for a long time & it works great. I’ve always put them on top of my toes

Just south of Canada eh
Hasn't there been some horror stories about these newer lithium electric soles or socks burning feet?
Yes, One of my best friends had this happen 2 years ago. Had lithium socks start burning his ankle and calf...he couldn't tear his clothes off fast enough. When he went to pull his Muck boot off the skin came with it. He spent more than a few months going to the burn unit at U of M in the cities getting treatments. I stick with a heated vest and hand warmers in my boots now.
